According to data released by China’s National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC), China’s exports of finished steel products totaled 5.41 million tons in May, falling by 140,000 tons from a month ago.
Meanwhile, the country’s imports of finished steel products were at 1.25 million tons, decreasing by 10,000 tons from April.
In the first five months of this year, China’s exports of finished steel products amounted to 25.4 million tons, rising by 15.4% year on year.
In the given period of time, the country imported 5.75 million tons of finished steel products, down by 1.8% in comparison of the figures in the same period of a year ago.
